Judith est une éditrice de renom qui a un certain pouvoir. Julien est un jeune auteur qui veut réussir. Il fait tout pour la conquérir, elle se laisse séduire. La curiosité de Julien l'entraîne à fouiller dans les affaires de Judith, il découvre l'histoire secrète de son père, mort en héros. Il en fait un livre, sans lui dire. Quand il lui avoue, elle se sent trahie. Elle lui interdit de le publier et rompt avec lui. Il passe outre. Judith veut se venger, elle ne voit pas que le geste de Julien est un geste d'amour qui va la réconcilier avec son père.
